Colorado school closings and delays for Thursday, Feb. 7, 2019

DENVER – An arctic blast has packed quite a punch for the mountains and the Denver metro area this Wednesday, and the effects of that cold front will still be felt Thursday morning.

So, kids – rejoice, because several school districts across the Denver metro area will be starting late Thursday.

1. Denver Public School District

All classes at Denver Public Schools have been canceled on Thursday, a DPS spokesperson said late Wednesday night.

2. Cherry Creek School District

Elementary schools will be on a one-hour delay, while middle and high schools across Cherry Creek will be on a 90-minute delay.

3. Littleton Public Schools

All Littleton Public Schools are on a two-hour delay due to current weather conditions.

4. JeffCo Public Schools

All classes and after-school activities at JeffCo Public Schools are cancelled Thursday.

5. Douglas County School District

All schools in Douglas County are delayed by 90 minutes.

6. Westminster Public Schools

The schools in Westminster are delayed by two hours Thursday.

7. Mapleton Public Schools

The Mapleton Publis Schools are delayed by two hours Thursday.

8. Aurora Public Schools

Public schools in Aurora are delayed by one hour.

9. Boulder Valley School District

All schools in BVSD are on a two-hour delayed start Thursday.
