DENVER — Even cooler air heading into Denver for Monday. Temperatures will drop into the 30s for Monday with light snow in the afternoon and evening.
In the high country, a Winter Weather Advisory is posted for our central mountains . Our southern mountains will be impacted with the heaviest snow and highest accumulations- A Winter Storm Warning in effect for portions of the San Juan mountains, including Telluride and Lake City, through Monday.
Our main snow event will occur on Monday for the metro-area. Light snow is likely to pick up through the day Monday, with colder temperatures, in the upper 30s for highs. Lows will drop to the low 20s early Tuesday.
Less than an inch of snow accumulation is expected in Denver. Around 1-3 inches will be possible over portions of the Palmer Divide. As of now, the mountains and foothills will see up to 4-6 inches by Monday night.
Tuesday, skies gradually clear, but temperatures stay cool. Highs will be just in the 40s for in the Denver area. Cooler weather remains for most of next week, with highs in the 40s and low 50s through Friday.
