DENVER — Monday almost felt a little like fall, and today has been delightful. Next Colorado will return to some summertime heat!
Highs today have been in the very comfortable middle 80s under sunny skies. This evening will be pleasant as temperatures hold in the 70s. By morning, lows will be in the mid-50s,
Hot weather already covers western Colorado, with highs in the upper 90s around Grand Junction. That hot and dry weather will move east and cover all of the state by Thursday.
There will be some haze and smoke in the mountains and western valleys as the wildfires continue to burn. Little moisture is expected this week, so fire conditions will gradually worsen as temperatures warm up.
The weather is very pleasant in the mountains, albeit too dry. Temperatures in the 70s to low 80s by day and nighttime lows in the 40s make it quite comfortable. Just be very careful with any burnable materials as fire danger remains very high.
Hot and dry weather with 90s are expected Thursday and Thursday. A few afternoon storms may develop on Friday with highs in the 90s.
Saturday and Sunday will be mostly sunny and hot with highs in the 90s. Isolated afternoon thunderstorms may develop on Sunday.
