Temperatures will drop to the 40s in the mountains early Thursday with 50s on the plains. It will be another warm day with highs in the low to mid-80s on the plains and 60s and 70s in the mountains. Skies will be sunny in the morning and partly cloudy in the afternoon. Rain chances will stay low, with just a few gusty storms developing over the mountains in the afternoon.

Another cold front will slide into Colorado on Friday and that means more unsettled weather for the weekend. Highs will be in the middle 70s on Friday in Denver with showers and thunderstorms likely in the afternoon. In the mountains, highs will be in the 60 with thunderstorms likely.

The weekend will be quite cool for late June. Highs will only be in the upper 60s to low 70s both Saturday and Sunday with rain and thunderstorms likely. In the mountains, highs will be in the upper 40s to mid-50s with plenty of showers. Saturday night and early Sunday, the snow level will drop to around 10,000 feet over the northern and central mountains!

Good news: The weather pattern will shift a bit next week with warmer and drier conditions returning to Colorado! We should finally reach the 90 degree mark in Denver late next week!
