DENVER — Beautiful early spring weather across Colorado with a mix of sun and clouds and mild temperatures. A few minor weather disturbances will drift over the central Rockies this week and will bring some light rain/snow showers to the Colorado high country.
Today has been a pleasant day across Colorado with sunny to partly cloudy skies and warm temperatures. Highs hit the low 60s in the Denver area and the 40s to low 50s in the mountains. Skies will be mostly clear tonight with lows in the 30s on the plains and 20s in the mountains. Winds will increase over the mountains and foothills tonight.
Temperatures will stay warm on Wednesday, with highs in the low to mid 60s for lower elevations and middle 40s to low 50s in the mountains. The winds will blow out of the southwest and that will lead to some higher fire danger along the southern Front Range.
Our next storm will hit Thursday and Friday, but should not be very strong. Clouds will increase on Thursday, with scattered rain and snow for the mountains and western valleys.
The Denver metro area will see a light rain/snow mix on Friday and temperatures will dip into the 40s.
Mild and dry weather will return for the weekend.
