DENVER — More warm and dry weather for the first week of September! Temperatures will be in the 80s to middle 90s for Denver and the eastern plains through Sunday.

Expect clear nights and plenty of sunshine during the day across the state. In the high country, lows will be in the 40s with upper 70s in to middle 80s in the afternoon through Sunday.

Expect mainly dry days through Sunday, with clear skies and little chance for rain.

Denver has recorded 69 days of 90 degrees or hotter this summer. The tally is creeping closer to the all-time record mark of 73 days, set in 2012.

After a warm and dry Sunday, temperatures will drop on Labor Day. Expect mid-to upper 70s in Denver with increasing clouds as a cold front moves into the state from the northern Rockies.

In the mountains, scattered showers will develop Monday afternoon with colder temperatures by evening.

Depending upon the track of this next front, the northern and central mountains and the foothills west of Denver may see several inches of snow Monday night and Tuesday.

Denver and the eastern plains will have rain and much cooler weather on Tuesday with highs in the 50s!
