DENVER —FIRST ALERT ACTION DAY: Ready for a little taste of spring? It's going to be extremely mild for the first weekend of February!

Highs were in the upper 60s under a partly sunny sky Saturday, Temperatures on Sunday will climb to the upper 60s to low 70s!

A big change will come Sunday night as a powerful cold front slices through Colorado. Expect much colder weather with snow on Monday. Temperatures will tumble Monday and Tuesday with highs only in the 20s to lower 30s. Tuesday morning will see lows in the single digits in Denver - a 60 degree drop from Sunday afternoon.

Snowfall amounts will probably be in the 3 to 6 inch range in the Denver area - the heaviest since late November! In the mountains, moderate to heavy snow will be likely for several days next week.

Tuesday will stay cold with flurries, followed by clearing skies on Wednesday, but continued chilly temperatures.

A slow warming trend will finish the week with highs back to 50 degrees by Friday.
