DENVER — The threat for strong thunderstorms with large hail and damaging winds is ending over eastern Colorado.
Scattered severe thunderstorms brought some large hail to parts of Weld County, Adams County and El Paso County earlier Tuesday evening.
Skies will clear overnight with low temperatures in the 40s to low 50s in the mountains and upper 50s to low 60s for Denver and the eastern plains.
On Wednesday, a similar weather pattern is expected with storms likely over eastern Colorado. Expect a mostly sunny morning, followed by increasing clouds and the chance for storms in the afternoon. Highs will climb to around 90 degrees.
The mountains and western valleys will be drier, with just isolated storms over the high country and plain old hot, dry weather farther west. Highs will be around 100 degrees in the Grand Junction area.
There will still be some thunderstorms expected for Thursday, mainly for Denver and the eastern plains. Temperatures will be a few degrees warmer - in the low 90s in the Denver area.
