Nice weather for Colorado - including Mother's Day weekend

DENVER — A lot of sunshine and seasonal temperatures - highs in the upper 60s to low 70s and lighter winds — made for a very pleasant day!

Skies will be mostly clear tonight and it will be cool, and some frost is possible again over northeastern Colorado where lows will dip to the low to middle 30s! Lows will be in the upper 30s for Denver and the Front Range. In the mountains, lows will dip into the upper 20s.

Wednesday will be dry and mild with highs in the low to mid 70s. In the mountains, highs will be in the upper 50s to low 60s.

Clouds will increase on Thursday ahead of the next storm system. Highs will still climb to the upper 60s to around 70 degrees. The main issue on Thursday will be increasing winds and fire danger!

A cold front will usher in some cooler weather and some rain for Friday. Snow will be possible in the northern mountains and foothills above 10,000 feet. Highs in Denver will dip back to around 60 degrees.

Mother's Day weekend will be partly sunny, with highs in the upper 60s across the metro area. A few afternoon thunderstorms may rumble in on Sunday.

Next week will remain mild with a few afternoon thunderstorms again on Tuesday.
