DENVER — We will see one more mild day before our next storm hits. So try to get outside at least once today — if you can do so responsibly — to get a little fresh air.

Temperatures will stay warm today, with highs in the mid to upper 60s for lower elevations and middle 40s to low 50s in the mountains. The winds will blow out of the southwest and that will lead to some higher fire danger along the southern Front Range. We could see gusts near 70 mph across southern Colorado.

Our next storm will hit tomorrow, but should not be very strong. Clouds will increase on Thursday afternoon, with scattered rain and snow for the mountains and western valleys.

The Denver metro area will see a light rain and snow mix on Friday and temperatures will dip into the 40s. It will rain during the day and then switch over to all snow on Friday night. Accumulation will be less than an inch across the Denver metro area. It could get a little slushier in the foothills.

Mild and dry weather will return for the weekend.
