DENVER — We are in for one more hot and dry day across Colorado before a cold front rolls through and bring some much needed rain to the state.
Temperatures will once again be about 10 to 15 degrees above normal again today, with highs in the low to mid 90s under a mostly sunny and hazy sky. The Denver metro area and northern Front Range is under an Ozone Action Day alert until 4 p.m.
Skies remain hazy, thanks to smoke from several wildfires across southwestern Colorado and Arizona. Fire danger is elevated through Wednesday across a good portion of the state. Please adhere to any fire bans or restrictions.

We are in for a nice cool down starting tomorrow as a cold front slips from the Pacific Northwest into the central Rockies.
Temperatures will drop back to the 70s to low 80s Thursday and Friday. We will see a few isolated storms pop up late Thursday afternoon.
The best chance for storms appears to be on Friday, with showers and thunderstorms likely. Some storms could become severe over northeastern Colorado.
By Father's Day the weather will warm up and dry out, making for a great day for a cookout for dad!
There may be some more thunderstorms early next week, but the overall weather pattern is remaining quite dry across the central Rockies and the high plains. Any moisture we can get will be very welcome!
