In the mountains and foothills, we saw only a few scattered storms and showers over higher elevations. Highs Sunday topped out in the middle 70s to low 80s. Expect a similar weather pattern for Monday.

Hotter and mainly dry weather is expected into early this week, with highs back into the low to mid-90s for Denver and the eastern plains.

There will be a chance for a few isolated, gusty storms through the late afternoon and early evening across the plains. There will be a marginal risk of severe storm activity over the northeastern corner of the state. Metro-Denver is expected to stay dry and partly cloudy.

Highs Tuesday are expected to soar to the mid to upper 90s across the Front Range. Stay cool! A stormier and slightly cooler pattern is set to return by the end of the week.
