DENVER — It will be another really nice day to get out for a walk or a bike ride — mostly sunny and even a little warmer than what we saw yesterday.

A few minor weather disturbances will drift over the central Rockies this week and will bring some light rain and snow showers to the Colorado high country, but we'll stay dry on the plains until Friday.

Temperatures will stay warm on Wednesday, with highs in the low to mid 60s for lower elevations and middle 40s to low 50s in the mountains. The winds will blow out of the southwest and that will lead to some higher fire danger along the southern Front Range.

Our next storm will hit Thursday and Friday, but should not be very strong. Clouds will increase on Thursday, with scattered rain and snow for the mountains and western valleys.

The Denver metro area will see a light rain and snow mix on Friday and temperatures will dip into the 40s.

Mild and dry weather will return for the weekend.
