DENVER — A Denver7 Weather Action Day has been issued for hazy, smoky conditions. An Air Quality Alert is in effect for all of the I-25 Corridor and much of eastern Colorado for smoke and high ozone levels. People with respiratory issues should try to avoid extended time outdoors and stay in an air conditioned area if possible.
A few showers will be possible on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday in the mountains which will be a welcome sight with our worsening drought conditions.
Highs will stay above normal all next week. Expect low to upper 80s through Thursday, with the chance for a high of 90 degrees on Friday afternoon. It doesn't look like we'll see highs in the 70s until next Sunday. Our average high for this time in September is 77 degrees in Denver.
The hot and dry weather pattern means we still have to be extremely careful when it comes to fire danger.
