DENVER —
Temperatures have been just slightly lower Monday for Denver and the northeast plains - courtesy of a weak cold front.
Highs stayed mostly in the 80s - a nice contrast from the upper 90s on Sunday.
Only a few weak thunderstorms developed and the overall weather pattern remains dry - with little if any summer monsoon in sight.
Tuesday and Wednesday will have a slightly better chance for a thunderstorm with highs back in the low 90s.
By Thursday and Friday - back to the middle 90s with more dry weather expected.
So far, there have been 50 days of 90-degree-plus heat in Denver - placing 2020 in the top 20 list of most 90-degree days in Denver.
