Skies will be partly cloudy Friday morning with some areas of low clouds and fog across the eastern plains. Mostly clear skies can be expected over the mountains and western valleys.
Another weather disturbance will swing into Colorado Friday afternoon and will bring more moisture and instability to our atmosphere. There will be a good chance for afternoon and evening thunderstorms Friday through Monday.
Temperatures will be a bit cooler over the weekend, due to increased cloud cover and the better chance for thunderstorms. Highs will drop back to the upper 70s to mid 80s for Denver and the eastern plains, with 60s to low 70s in the mountains.
Hotter and drier weather will return again next week.
