DENVER —  The weekend will be a cooler one as a cold front slips into Colorado. Highs will be in the mid 80s in Denver on Saturday and in the upper 70s on Sunday. We'll see scattered storms and showers both days.

Saturday may have some stronger storms with the possibility of hail and damaging winds. We will issue a First Alert Action Day for Saturday. Going to Saturday night's Broncos game? Be prepared to get a little wet. Temperatures will be in the mid to upper 70s for the start of the game and low 70s by the end of it.

Sunday, more cloud coverage and scattered showers and storms are likely through the day. Highs will be cooler across the metro, only in the mid to upper 70s.

Early next week should turn drier again with a slow warming trend. Monday, a high of 80 degrees is expected in Denver. Mid to upper 80s return by mid-week.
