DENVER — It was a very warm and windy Wednesday across Colorado, Denver hit 90 degrees, just shy of the record of 91 degrees record set in 2005.

Strong thunderstorms developed in Weld County and produced at least one "landspout" tornado - a relatively weak funnel that has winds of around 100 mph. Nonetheless, some minor damage was reported near Eaton and Galeton.

The winds will switch from south to westerly tonight with the passage of a cold front. Skies will clear and lows will drop to the 20s to low 30s in the mountains and middle 40s for Denver and eastern Colorado.

This front will usher in some cooler air for Thursday, expect highs in the mid-50s to low 60s in the mountains and 70s across the plains. A few showers may develop in the afternoon, but strong thunderstorms are not expected.

Friday and Saturday will be dry and pleasant. Highs will be near 80 degrees in Denver, with 60s in the mountains.

Sunday will be cooler with a good chance for showers and thunderstorms.

Memorial Day will be sunny and pleasant.
