DENVER — Expect clearing skies after strong storms this afternoon and evening.

The storms will diminish around midnight with skies becoming partly cloudy by early Friday. Lows will be in the low 60s in Denver and across the plains, with 40s to middle 50s in the mountains.

Friday will be dry in the morning, but the afternoon will also be stormy, with a good chance for thunderstorms and highs in the 80s.

The weekend will be warmer and drier with highs back into the low 90s. There will still be a slight chance for storms, but rain chances will be in the 20% range.

More stormy weather will return early next week with highs slipping back to the mid-to upper 80s.
