DENVER — Colder weather has returned to Colorado - just in time for the Stock Show! Some light snow is expected tonight and early Friday, with a couple of inches in the mountains and an inch or less for Denver and the eastern plains.
There may be a few slick spots on the roads early Friday, but this storm system will not be a major one for Colorado. Expect chilly temperatures, with morning readings in the low 20s on the plains and single digits in the mountains.
There will be some snow flurries lingering on Friday with more chilly temperatures. Readings will be in the upper 20s to mid-30s along the I-25 Corridor and will stay in the teens to low 20s in the mountains.
Saturday will be cold but dry across Colorado, with highs in the 20s in the mountains and upper 30s to low 40s in Denver and across eastern Colorado.
Sunday will be dry in Denver, with highs in the low 40s. Some light snow will return to the mountains with highs in the middle 20s to around 30 degrees.
Next week will stay on the cold side, with occasional snow in the mountains and a slight chance for snow in Denver by Wednesday or Thursday.
