DENVER — Skies have been pretty much cloud free across Colorado, but smoke from several different wildfires continues over areas along and east of the Continental Divide.

The smoke is not thick across most of Colorado, with the exception of the areas downwind from various wildfires, including the Cameron Peak Fire. The concern is the dry conditions — be careful as fire danger remains high. You will find some air quality advisories for the Front Range today as conditions are still a little unhealthy for sensitive groups.

Skies will stay mostly clear for the next five to seven days as a very dry and quiet weather pattern has developed over the Rocky Mountain region. Nighttime lows will dip to the middle 20s to low 30s in the mountains and upper 30s to mid 40s for lower elevations.

Temperatures will bounce back to the upper 70s to low 80s for Friday, drop a few degrees Saturday and then return to the upper 70s on Sunday in Denver and along the I-25 Corridor.

Highs will return to the low 80s for the Denver area early next week.

Fall color remains spectacular across the Colorado high country. With mild, dry and quiet weather - this weekend should be ideal for checking out the lovely leaves!
