DENVER — Showers, thunderstorms, hail and snow have been the weather features across Colorado for the past three days. A cool and unsettled weather pattern lingers over the central Rockies and will not exit the region for another 24 hours.

Rain showers will continue across the I-25 Corridor and the eastern plains, while snow will fall in the mountains above 8,000 feet.

Wednesday will be chilly and windy with more rain showers on the plains and snow showers above 9,000 feet. The risk of severe weather will be low, mostly due to the chilly temperatures in the 40s in the mountains and 50s to low 60s on the plains.

The cool, wet weather system will finally move away from Colorado on Thursday with partly cloudy skies and highs back in the mid-to upper 60s in Denver and 50s in the mountains.

Warmer and drier weather will cover Colorado for the first weekend of June! Temperatures will rebound back into the 70s on Friday and 80s Saturday and Sunday! The warm weather will last into the middle of next week.

Rain chances will be fairly low over the weekend into early next week as no major weather disturbances will be moving across Colorado. There is always a slight chance for afternoon thunderstorms in early June, especially thanks to the moisture that now exists in our soil. The best chance of seeing afternoon storms will be Sunday and Tuesday.
