DENVER — Some gusty winds continue in the foothills and over the mountain ridges, but overall conditions are much less breezy than in the past 24 hours. Lows tonight will be in the mid-to upper 20s for Denver and the plains, with teens to low 20s in the mountains.

More mild weather is expected on Wednesday as highs jump to the upper 50s to low 60s in the Denver area. In the mountains, temperatures will be in the middle 30s to low 40s. Clouds will increase in the mountains in the afternoon, with a few snow showers possible late in the day. Denver and the plains will stay dry.

Clouds will increase on Thursday in the Denver area and temperatures will be a little colder. Expect highs in the low to middle 40s. Light snow is expected in the mountains with temperatures in the lower 30s. The snow will increase in the northern and central mountains Thursday night and Friday with 4 to 8 inches possible. Lighter snow is expected for the southern mountain areas.

There will be a chance for snow in Denver and across eastern Colorado on Friday as a cold front pushes into Colorado. Snowfall amounts will probably just be a few inches, but temperatures will drop back to the low to middle 30s in Denver on Friday. Colder air will also move into the mountains, with temperatures only in the 20s for highs on Friday.

Saturday will be cold, but dry across Colorado, followed by another chance for snow on Sunday - all just in time for the Stock Show!

It looks like the overall weather pattern will turn colder and more stormy for Colorado through the middle of January.
