DENVER — The week started out mild and dry with highs in the 50s to around 60 degrees in the Denver area. The weather will change later tonight and Tuesday as a cold front slides into Colorado from the northwest.
The cold front will feature some pretty chilly air, but not very much moisture, so snow amounts will stay on the light side Tuesday and Wednesday. The mountains may see 2 to 4 inches, while Denver and the eastern plains get perhaps an inch.
High temperatures will dip into the upper 30s to low 40s on Tuesday and upper 20s to low 30s on Wednesday. Nighttime lows will drop into the teens by Wednesday morning. In the mountains, expect lows in the single digits with highs in the 20s to low 30s.
Skies will clear on Thursday, but the chilly temperatures will stick around, with highs in the low 40s.
Dry and warmer days return Friday through the weekend, with highs back in the 50s - maybe even 60 degrees on Sunday!
