DENVER — Cooler weather held for another day for Denver and eastern Colorado, but hotter days are coming again.
There is a risk of severe thunderstorms across the southeastern plains. The strongest storms are expected along the Palmer Divide — a little closer to Castle Rock and Limon.
Hotter temperatures return on Thursday and will linger over the weekend. Highs will be back in the mid and upper 90s.
There still will be a chance for afternoon storms, especially over the mountains and foothills through the weekend.
Drought conditions continue to get worse across Colorado, especially in the southern portions of the state.
Monday may bring a little better chance for thunderstorms, but the overall hot weather pattern will continue next week.
