Denver has now gone 213 days since the last measurable snowfall...now the fifth longest streak ever on record. The longest streak on record is 235 days, set in 1887, although the National Weather Service is skeptical on the accuracy of such an old record.
The dry weather has also enabled Denver to tie the latest snowfall ever on record. The long standing record for the latest first snow was on this date in 1934. Today's weather has been - clear and dry, and there is no snow in the forecast for the next 2 days!
It will be dry and even warmer for the start of the work week. Expect highs in the low to mid-60s for Denver and across the eastern the plains Monday and Tuesday.
Our next cold front hits Wednesday and the mountains will start to see more snow on Tuesday night. Wednesday should bring a mix of rain and snow to the Front Range and could mark the first official snowfall for Denver, although amounts will be light.
Thursday (Thanksgiving Day) will be sunny, cool and dry with highs around 50 degrees.
Friday will be warmer again with highs in the middle 60s.
