DENVER — Early August weather is a well known playbook! Sunny mornings, hot by midday, scattered thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening.

Widely scattered thunderstorms are ending across Colorado and skies will clear overnight. Lows will be in the upper 50s to mid-60s on the plains and in the 40s to mid-50s in the mountains.
Sunny skies will start Tuesday, followed by increasing clouds and scattered thunderstorms in the afternoon.
Highs will be in the upper 80s to mid-90s, in the mountains, temperatures will be in the 70s to middle 80s.
In Denver and across the eastern plains, it will be a touch cooler Wednesday and Thursday, with highs in the low to mid-80s. Thunderstorm chances will be higher, thanks to an increase in humidity. Locally heavy rainfall and flash flooding will be the main concern.
By the end of the week, temperatures will pop back into the upper 80s to low 90s and the rain chances will drop a bit.
