DENVER- Starting tonight, it’s going to be cooler than it was over the weekend, and we’ll see some scattered showers pop up—mostly rain for the lower elevations. Areas around Boulder and Denver should see the most action in the early evening, with things tapering off overnight. If you’re in the mountains, you might see a bit of snow, but only if you're above 6,000 feet. Snow levels could drop to around 5,000 feet later tonight, but by then, most of the showers should be on their way out.

Monday will feel a bit chillier. The rain will be gone by the time most people are heading out the door, and skies will start clearing up pretty quickly through the morning. It’ll be one of those crisp, cool spring days with some sunshine by the afternoon. Nothing too wild—just a calmer, cooler day to start the week.

Things start warming up again on Tuesday. A ridge of high pressure will move in (that’s just weather-speak for a big area of warm, dry air), and temperatures will climb back into the 70s across the plains, with 50s and 60s in the mountain areas. We might see some clouds roll in later in the day, and a few light mountain showers could show up, but nothing major—most places will stay dry.
By midweek, things start to change again. There’s a bigger storm system taking shape off the West Coast, and it looks like it could move into our area sometime between Wednesday and Friday. Forecast models aren’t exactly in agreement yet, but they all show the weather getting more active, with more moisture coming in and chances for both mountain snow and rain down in the lower areas.
As we get closer to the weekend, expect things to stay unsettled. We’re likely looking at more widespread rain, especially on Friday and into the weekend, and there’s a decent shot at snow in the mountains too. The details are still coming together, so keep an eye on the forecast for updates—but it’s looking like we’ll finish the week on a wetter, cooler note.
