DENVER -- Rocktober is here! After Tuesday night’s late night, nail-biting win against the Chicago Cubs, Rockies fans are pouring into stores around the Denver metro to get their postseason gear.

The Dry Goods Store at Coors Field on Blake Street stayed busy throughout the day on Wednesday with fans buying jerseys, hats, memorabilia and new Rocktober gear. The store currently has orders in and shipments on their way to fill shelves and racks with new postseason gear.

“It means a whole lot to me because I know we have at least two home games left, hopefully we have some more home games left, more than two,” said Rockies fan Fabian Harris.

Harris works as a vendor selling peanuts, drinks and other snacks outside the stadium at the corner of Blake and 22nd Streets.

“Especially down here in the Ballpark neighborhood, everybody depends on the Rockies for their success and everything. When they do good, we do good,” said Harris.

“I wallpapered my basement with 4,600 baseball cards and I have an 11 foot wide Rockies logo that I hand painted on the wall,” said Rockies fan Dan Sauvageau.

Savageau drives around a Rockies car designed by his 15-year-old daughter Emily.

“His name is Homer,” said Sauvageau. “She said that was what she was going to do when she got her first car but I did it for her right away because I thought it was pretty cool.”

Emily has attended 704 Rockies games and counting, following in her dad’s footsteps of more than 1,500.

“It’s just fun to spend time with her at the games and go on trips,” said Sauvageau.

The Rockies play the Brewers on the road in Milwaukee Thursday and Friday. The team will return home for the third division series game at Coors Field on Sunday. The game starts at 2:37 p.m.
