DENVER – On the second-coldest home opener in team history, the Colorado Rockies lost in extra innings with a score of 6-3 against the Athletics.
At first bat, the temperature was 37 degrees with snow and wet conditions off and on during the game.
The Rockies host the Athletics for a three-game series with the next matchup at Coors Field Saturday at 6:10 p.m.
