The Denver Broncos are trading a draft pick for quarterback Mark Sanchez.

The Broncos will give the Philadelphia Eagles a conditional draft pick in 2017. It is a seventh-round pick, according to multiple reports.

Broncos beat reporter Troy Renck said this move doesn't eliminate the possibility that the Broncos might still go after 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick.

"There will be at least one more QB added," Renck stated.

The Super Bowl champions were left without an experienced quarterback this week when five-time MVP Manning retired and Brock Osweiler signed with Houston as a free agent.

The Broncos will have 3rd round (98th overall), 4th round (136th) and 6th round (219th) compensatory picks in 2016 draft, Renck reported.

Sanchez was drafted in the first round of the 2009 NFL Draft as the fifth overall pick by the New York Jets. He led them to the AFC Championship game in his first two season.

Sanchez injured his throwing shoulder during the 2013 preseason and was replaced by Geno Smith.

He was released by the Jets and signed with the Eagles in 2014.

During his two seasons with the Eagles, Sanchez started 10 games and went 4-6.

"Sanchez, 29, appeared in four games for the Eagles in 2015, starting two. He threw for 616 yards, with four touchdowns and four interceptions," ESPN reported.

Just two days ago, the New York Post reported that Sanchez "can't even hold his Eagles backup job" and "seems headed back toward the unemployment line."
