DENVER — The Denver Broncos have a new name for their home stadium after agreeing to a 21-year deal with Colorado-based retirement planning company Empower Retirement.

Broncos Stadium at Mile High will now be called Empower Field at Mile High, the team announced Wednesday.

Members of the the Metropolitan Football Stadium District are expected to sign off on the agreement later this week. Temporary signage will be in place at the stadium for the Broncos' home opener against the Chicago Bears on September 15.

The contract will run through 2039 and is worth roughly $125-$130 million, according to sources familiar with the deal.

The stadium has been without a title sponsor for since August 2016 after Sports Authority went bankrupt. The Broncos purchased the remainder of that contract, allowing them to gain control of seeking a new corporate partner.

Empower Retirement is headquartered in Greenwood Village and is the second-largest retirement services provider in the United States.
