DENVER — Looking to add depth and experience before camp, the Broncos are expected to sign receiver Corey "Philly" Brown.
Brown was taking a physical on Thursday, and if he passes, his signing will become official on Friday. The Broncos begin practice on Saturday.
The Broncos placed second-year receiver Carlos Henderson on the reserve/did not report list to deal with a family issue. With Jordan Taylor sidelined following hip surgery, the Broncos needed some bodies. They added former CFL draft pick Mark Chapman on Thursday. Brown is expected to join him on the depth chart.
Brown, who played for Carolina in Super Bowl 50 against the Broncos, has 79 catches for 1,019 yards and seven touchdowns. He is a former college teammate of Bradley Roby at Ohio State.
