Between our unquenchable thirst for sports news these days and the virtual nature of this year’s unprecedented NFL draft, we’re going 360 to answer three questions:
1.) How interested are we in the draft?
2.) How important is this year’s draft for the Broncos?
3.) Who will John Elway pick in the 1st round?
We spoke with NFL experts, current and former Broncos, and football fans to find as many perspectives as possible.
Experts believe this will be the most watched NFL draft ever, but fans are split on their interest. Some believe the whole event is overblown, and others are just too busy to care. But for those that are interested, they see it like an oasis in the desert.
As for the Broncos, thanks to the emergence of Drew Lock both fans and experts agree this is a highly important draft for the team’s chances to be a Super Bowl contender in the coming years.
As of Thursday morning, Denver sits at pick number 15 in the first round. There are numerous options of players that may fit what the Broncos need, though not all of them will likely last that long. That being said, our panel of perspectives falls all over the map when it comes to predicting who the team might pick. From wide receivers, to offensive linemen, to kickers, and even quarterbacks - no opinion is off limits.
Thankfully, all of our questions will be definitively answered Thursday night (unless of course the Broncos trade out of the first round in which case just enjoy the video and laugh!).
