Reese Witherspoon Is Looking For A Librarian For Her Book Club

Posted
and last updated

Calling all bookworms! Reese Witherspoon islooking for a part-time librarian-in-residence for her book club, which is part of her media company, Hello Sunshine.

The lucky person who snags this dream job will assist in collecting and cataloging resources as well as talk directly with authors, review book picks with Witherspoon and engage with the Hello Sunshine community. The job is paid, and you don’t need to live in Tinsel Town to apply. There may be travel involved, which will be fully covered by Hello Sunshine. Any type of formal librarian experience is encouraged, but it’s not a necessity.

Witherspoon is looking for someone who is passionate about books, especially those that tell women’s stories. You should be the type of person who has more than one favorite book and can go on and on about the authors who inspire you. On-camerawork is involved, so someone who is comfortable in the spotlight is ideal.

To apply, all you have to do is complete a short form online, including a 500-word statement on why you want the gig. You’ll also need to include a 90-second video of yourself.

Watch Witherspoon talk about the awesome opportunity in the clip posted to YouTube by Hello Sunshine below:

In the video, Witherspoon says a great sense of humor is a must, because she “really likes to laugh.” She also notes that great dance moves are a plus. She encourages applicants to have fun when making their submission video and says, “We want to see your most creative, book-loving self.”

If you think you have what it takes, make sure you familiarize yourself with theselections chosen by Reese’s Book Club so far. Each month, Witherspoon picks a woman-focused book to share with the club. Members can engage in conversation about the books across social media platforms.

In an Instagram post, Witherspoon shared her latest pick for the club, “Such A Fun Age” by Kiley Reid:

Would you love to be Witherspoon’s first librarian-in-residence?
