DENVER -- The National Weather Service is warning of near critical wildfire conditions across Colorado's Front Range from Fort Collins to the Denver metro area to Colorado Springs and Pueblo.
A red flag warning is in effect on Monday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
"A combination of strong winds, above normal temperatures and low relative humidities will produce critical fire danger on Monday," the National Weather Service said. "Strong winds are expected across the mountains, foothills and plains of northeast Colorado on Monday."
Relative humidity will be as low as 13 percent.
Winds of 15 to 25 mpg, with gusts up to 45 mph, are predicted across the Front Range.
The National Weather Service has issued a high wind warning for some areas of the foothills and mountains including Boulder, Larimer, Summit, Gilpin, Summit, Park, Clear Creek, Grand and Jackson counties above 9,000 feet.
The stronger gusts could be in excess of 80 mph, the National Weather Service said.
The high wind warning is in effect until 4 p.m. on Monday.
