RIO BLANCO COUNTY, Colo. -- Searchers are looking for a 61-year-old hunter reported missing in Rio Blanco County, on Colorado's Western Slope.
The man was last seen Saturday around 8 a.m. at a camp near Pagoda Lake, about 45 miles from Meeker.
The man's hunting partner said the two of them split up and were supposed to meet for lunch, but his friend never showed up.
The hunting partner reported the man missing Sunday at the Ripple Creek Lodge and the Sheriff’s Office was contacted.
The search team includes Rio Blanco County Search and Rescue, Meeker Fire and Rescue, Classic Air Medical Helicopter and the Colorado Multi-Mission Aircraft.
The Colorado National Guard and Colorado Search and Rescue dogs are expected to help in the search Monday.
The missing man is from Michigan. Authorities have not said if the man is familiar with the area.
