GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. -- Police and deputies are investigating the shooting death of a woman in Grand Junction.

Affidavits show Shandie Case, 25, died in the passenger seat of a truck from a shot to the head while her husband, Alexander Fedak, was driving and shooting at Joseph Anthony Manzanarez, Jr., according to KJCT-TV.

The TV station reported the bullet that killed Case came from Case's husband's gun.

KJCT-TV reported that the situation started over a truck Case and Fedak rented to another woman. There was a dispute over the truck and at some point Case and Fedak confronted the woman and Manzanarez at the intersection of D and 32 roads on Nov. 6.

There was a car chase, words were exchanged and then gunfire.

As the gunfire continued, Fedak looked over and saw that Case was covered in blood and he believed her to be dead, according to court documents obtained by KJCT.

Manzanarez was also shot. He was treated at a local hospital, then arrested on suspicion of menacing, possession of weapons by a previous offender and prohibited use of weapons, according to court documents obtained by Denver7.

Fedak was arrested on suspicion of vehicular eluding.

Authorities are still investigating the case.
