GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. -- A Grand Junction Police officer shot and killed a suspect during an incident early Friday morning.
The police department said an officer sustained minor injuries from being dragged or pinned by the suspect’s vehicle.
The incident happened near the intersection of S. 9th Street and Pitkin Avenue around 12:15 a.m.
Police have not yet released the circumstances that led to the shooting.
"[A] multi-jurisdictional Critical Incident Response Team will be the lead agency in this investigation, as is standard procedure with any officer involved shooting," Grand Junction Police said.
