JEFFERSON COUNTY, Colo. – It’s not Giving Tuesday just yet, but it didn't have to be for several firefighters who came to the rescue of a Colorado man who needed their help this Black Friday.

Glenn Elvenholl was hanging Christmas lights outside his Ken Caryl Valley home when he fell from the ladder, breaking his left leg and dislocating his left ankle.

Firefighters from West Metro Fire Rescue responded to the home and transferred him to the hospital. Crews then stayed behind to finish hanging the lights, as photos from the department’s Facebook page show.

Elvenholl’s wife snapped the photos and sent them to the West Metro Fire Rescue, along with her thanks for helping out her husband.
