DENVER – The Colorado Secretary of State recommends that Colorado voters who plan to mail their ballot back do so by the end of the day Monday so they don’t risk it not being counted in time for next Tuesday’s Election Day.
Instead, voters should ensure their ballot counts by dropping it off at a local voting center or 24-hour ballot drop box. Ballots that are not received by mail by 7 p.m. on the Nov. 6 Election Day will not be counted.
The voter service and polling centers will be open every day until Election Day except for Sunday, Nov. 4.
Monday is also the final day that voters can request that a ballot be mailed to them. Anyone who registers to vote after Monday or has not received a ballot is asked to vote in-person at their area voting center.
As of Monday morning, nearly 619,000 Colorado voters had returned their ballots.
