DENVER – A much-anticipated report about the troubling workplace climate at the Colorado General Assembly will become public Thursday morning.
The review by Investigations Lawgroup, an outside contractor hired by lawmakers to look into the harassment policies and culture at the General Assembly, will be made public at a legislative Executive Committee meeting at 8 a.m.
State lawmakers ordered the review following several sexual harassment complaints and investigations as a result of the #MeToo movement, resulting in formal complaints and one lawmaker being expelled early last month.
Toward the end of January, lawmakers at the State Capitol received the first of three workplace harassment trainings more than three months after Rep. Faith Winter, D-Westminster, went public with allegations that former Rep. Steve Lebsock made sexual advances toward her in 2016.
