DENVER –- Colorado is an amazing state with a strong economy where women make up 46 percent of the workforce.

But Colorado women are also more likely than men to live in poverty no matter the education level they attain.

In their new non-partisan voter handbook, the Women’s Foundation of Colorado proposes changes they say would improve our economy by improving opportunities for women and families.

Louise Myrland joined Anne Trujillo on this weekend’s Politics Unplugged to discuss the group’s “Womanifesto” and how they believe it can help Colorado.

Politics Unplugged airs Sundays at 4:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Denver7 and noon on K3-KCDO.
