DENVER – Republican Greg Lopez says he should stand out from some of the other men and women hoping to be Colorado’s governor.
“I’m the only veteran. I’m a disabled veteran,” he told Anne Trujillo on this weekend’s Politics Unplugged. “I’m a business owner. I understand the struggles a small business owner goes through. I’m not the guy who can write a million-dollar check to his campaign, so I truly understand the day to day struggles.”
Lopez has been busy traveling the state to understand the challenges rural Coloradans feel.
“They don’t feel they’re having a voice. Everything is happening here in the metro area,” he said. “The other thing is water. They are very concerned about water and the use of water and water rights because a lot of the agricultural farms are struggling especially now.”
Politics Unplugged airs Sundays at 4:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Denver7.
