DENVER -- Colorado has been on the forefront of many things when it comes to marijuana and hemp production, but differences in state and federal regulations often make progress in those industries slow.

On this weekend's Politics Unplugged, Anne Trujillo is joined by Maureen West, the former manager of the hemp program for the Colorado Department of Agriculture. West is now works in the private sector with the hemp oil company Functional Remedies and is familiar with many of the hurdles hemp and marijuana companies face.

Politics Unplugged airs Sundays at 4:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Denver7 and noon on K3-KCDO.
