DENVER -- Pride month festivities in Denver and across the nation get bigger every year, but many participants aren't familiar with the history of the LGBTQ movement that has made these events possible.
On this weekend's Politics Unplugged, Anne Trujillo talks to Scarlet Bowen, the education director for the Center for Inclusion and Societal Change at CU Boulder, about the history of the LGBTQ civil rights movement, what's changed since 1969 and how society continues to evolve.
Politics Unplugged airs Sundays at 4:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Denver7 and noon on K3-KCDO.
