People fed up with gang violence march in Pueblo

Posted

More than 150 people took part Saturday in an anti-gang march in response to a rash of gang violence.

Leading the procession was community activist Floyd Jaramillo and members of the families of Isaiah Vialpando and Ricky Muniz, both victims of recent shootings.

According to the Pueblo Chieftain, federal, state and local law enforcement agencies recently carried out raids directed at criminal activity, focusing on gang-related crime.

Authorities say 47 people were arrested, four stolen vehicles were recovered and 13 high-risk parolees got a visit from police.
