EDGEWATER, Colo. — This summer, Edgewater will welcome a large new gathering place just a few blocks away from Sloan’s Lake.

The 75,000-square-foot new development almost takes up an entire block, causing many neighbors to ask…what’s that?

The development is called Edgewater Public Market and will feature a food hall, food truck vendors like Ethiopian Food Truck, a brewery (Knu Brewery), retail shops, a rooftop deck, and new park area.

The public market will be similar to Pike Place Market in Seattle.

According to the developer, Littleton Capital Partners (LCP), the market already has more than 30 tenants.

The City of Edgewater owns the property and tried several times to revitalize the area.

Several of those projects fell through but now the city is just months away from opening the market.

LCP is hoping to finish construction by the end of the summer.
