HIGHLANDS RANCH, Colo. — A new recreation complex is under construction in Highlands Ranch on E. County Line Road.

The South Suburban Parks and Recreation Regional Complex will be 206,000 square feet and include a field house, two synthetic turf fields, two gymnasiums with pickleball courts, and three ice rinks.

The complex will replace the 50-year-old South Suburban Ice Arena and the South Suburban Administration Office.

According to South Suburban Parks and Recreation website “the new complex will not be a traditional recreation center or gym. South Suburban already owns and operates four full-service recreation centers within a 5-mile radius of the new recreation complex.”

This $61 million recreation complex is scheduled to open in December 2020.
