DENVER - Boulder-based grocery store Ideal Market will open a new store in Denver's Capitol Hill neighborhood.

Ideal Market describes itself as eco-minded with natural and organic grocery items.

Whole Foods, which closed its Capitol Hill location in 2017, bought Ideal Market in 2007.

In 2019, Whole Foods executives submitted an application the city of Denver asking for permission to open an Ideal Market on that includes an “eating and drinking establishment” that offers indoor and outdoor self service seating areas.

Denver7 reached out to Whole Foods to find out when the new store will open but did not receive an immediate response.

The city of Denver told Denver7 the application for Ideal Market was approved and the business has been cleared to move forward with its plans.
